Does MCA locate gravesite for burials ?
MCA will assist, but it is the family's responsibility to locate the gravesite.
Does MCA maintain pre-settled gravesites ?
It is the responsibility of the gravedigger to maintain pre-settled gravesites.

Does MCA maintain records of gravesite owners?
MCA only maintains records of owners in West Cemetery. Ultimately, it is the owners responsibility to keep ownership records. MCA encourages recording ownership with the Simpson Co Chancery Clerk's Office.
Does MCA staff need to be onsite for headstone installs ?
No – but MCA is available should question or concerns arise.
If headstone is damaged from mowing, who remedies ?
MCA works with the mower to remedy applicable headstone damages.
Is there a MCA charge for burials? For Cremations ?
There is a $100 MCA charge for all burials, including cremations. Fee must be rendered prior to actual burial service. See MCA fee schedule for details.
My relative is buried, but does not have headstone – how do I find the exact location ?
MCA encourages headstone placement ASAP for every burial – unfortunately, MCA has no means of locating unmarked graves. It is the family's responsible to mark all burials.
Who maintains the cemetery?
MCA is charged with maintenance of all cemeteries grounds and facilities – the MCA CURATOR is the day-to-day contact with issues and/or questions.
Who places flags on veteran gravesites?
MCA solicits community and friends to help place flags. (MCA furnishs flags)
Does MCA sell gravesites for owners ?
NO – MCA only sells gravesites that are owned by MCA.
How do I go about buying a gravesite ?
Go to the "Sales" page on MCA web site to begin the process – complete associated form and MCA will be in touch.
How can I support the MCA efforts?
Got to the "Support" page on MCA web site – financial and volunteer efforts are welcomed.
Who places and removes wreaths.
MCA solicits community and friends to help place wreaths. MCA will remove unsightly wreaths as time premits. click here to volunteer.

How is the burial fee used ?
The fee is used to maintain the gravesite immediately after the burial and afterwards until the dirt-work is completely settled (at which time routine maintenance continues).
DOES THE CEMETERY ASSOCIATION GET INVOLVED WITH GRAVESITE SELECTION AND HEADSTONE PLACEMENT?
The Association does not get involved in gravesite selection or headstone placement - per our Rules and Regs document, it is the family's responsibility (working with the funeral home services).
